Trollbacken Counselor Duties include: Staying with your group of campers at all times, day and night. Informing the campers of their schedule, ie. classes, activities, etc. Showing them where to go, and making sure that they are at their activities on time. Prepare fun activities for your cabin, such as skits, small craft projects and games. Essentially, taking care of your group, making sure they have a nice time and learning about and passing down Trollbacken traditions.

Applicants Background
Applicants seeking a junior or senior counselor position should:
- Be interested in learning about Sweden, its culture and language
- Be interested in working with children ages 7-13
- Be responsible, have a positive attitude and work well with others
Basic Qualifications
- Junior Counselor in training: Should have finished 8th grade.
- Junior Counselor: Should have finished 9th grade.
- Senior Counselor: Current High School student (finished 10th grade) or recent graduate.
Who can become a counselor?
- Having been a Camper or Counselor in previous years does not automatically guarantee you for a Jr. or Sr. Counselor position.
- New applicants may be asked to do a short zoom interview with the camp director.
Compensation
- First year Junior counselor in-training will pay full tuition and receive $50 as compensation for their work (finished 8th grade).
- Second year Junior counselors will pay half of the tuition fee and will receive $50 as compensation for their work. (finished 9th grade).
- Senior counselors (must have finished 10th grade) will receive free tuition and $75 in compensation for their work for their first year as a Counselor in training, $125 for the second year and $150 for the third year.
